Our life is a journey and throughout it we have experiences that either inspire or defeat us. This got me thinking the other day.
What is it that makes someone inspirational?
Is it the actions or writings of a person that leads us to be inspired or is it just that we have been blessed with the good fortune to witness these actions or come to read their writings?
The Australian Pocket Oxford Dictionary says:
Inspire: Breathe in (air etc), infuse thought or feeling into (person, his writings ets)
So from this I believe that to be inspired, we take peoples thoughts, feelings and beliefs, breathe them in and allow them to become part of who we are.
Unfortunately, many people in this world (either consciously or subconsciously) choose to be negatively inspired by "breathing" in thoughts, feelings and beliefs that do not support them and who they are trying to become.
So inspiration comes in two forms:
Positive inspiration:
A conscious decision to control our breathing and only allow the thoughts and feelings that support us on our journey of life.
Negative inspiration:
Often an unconscious decision to allow any thing in that is within our immediate area to affect who we are and what we believe in.
Both forms of inspiration work towards affirming our own self-fullfilling prophecy (what we truly belive about ourselves) whether it is to be of benefit or to damage our self esteem and ultimately who we will become.
At LIVE promotions we believe that this world already has an over abundance of negative inspiration. So we aim to only impart information and guidance that will positively support our clients along their journey of life.
Ultimately the choice is yours, as to which inspiration will have the greater effect on your life.
